It feels wonderful knowing that every gift under my tree has a little bit of me attached to it. It makes me smile 🙂 I just love these gift tags and find them much nicer than any I have found in a store and it is fun making them. I guess,….maybe,…. because I missed out on all those art classes in elementary school, it somehow fills a void. Yes, you heard correctly, I NEVER GOT TO GO TO THE ART ROOM and make that macaroni necklace or a clay bowl for my mum. Instead, I was sitting with a Speech Pathologist sounding out my S’s for an hour everyday. And for that, I am grateful, and I now have that Ssssssssssssssssssssss thing down pretty good! But, back then, I didn’t care that I spoke with a lisp, I just really!…. really! really!, wanted one of those cool art masterpieces that everyone was waving around on that bus ride home. So glad those days are gone!!!! But, today, I am making my very own art masterpieces and would like to share them with all of you.
These are so easy and fun to make, I really do feel like a kid again.
I used scrap brown paper, chalk pens and ribbon. Brown paper bags work well or any type of paper you have around will do. I like the rustic look of brown paper. Maybe you have run out of tags or want a crafty thing to do with the kids, I am sure you have the supplies to make your own tags.
Merry Christmas!
